It has been an interesting first few days at conference. It has been great to see everyone and to speak with you about what the industry has been doing. Many of you had the same comments as our speaker this morning. Dan Clark was great in highlighting the importance of working through the recession. Many of you have shared with me the difficulties you are facing in your club and actions you and the board are taking to address them. Dan’s emphasis on the distinction between a family friendly club and a “family centered” club was important.
We will be talking about a number of these subjects in my session tomorrow at 10:30am in Canary Ballroom 4. I look forward to seing you there and getting your input into the session. If you cannot make that one, I look forward to seeing you at your roundtable at 2:15. After all, I am just the moderator. As I mentioned before, Clubs in Town and Country and Federal Taxes and the Private Club will be available at each session.
