PBMares’ CPA and Partner, Neena Shukla along with government contracting consultant, Sam Davidson, presented an important training series for government contractors. These carefully designed sessions addressed the basic compliance and business management processes and tools valuable to the small and emerging government contractor as well as the larger more established organizations. They provided in-depth guidance on establishing a compliant accounting system and indirect rate structure that will be accepted by the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and allow you to propose on and win government contracts. Information on proper labor timekeeping and recording practices identified areas of compliance risk. The allowability of those costs identified as ”expressly unallowable” and the proper accounting for these costs was discussed capped off with the value of comprehensive policies and procedures to ensure your continued compliance.
