Dan Chenoweth, MPA, CPA, partner at PBMares LLP, has been named Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce. Chenoweth recently served as the Chair-Elect, succeeding Debra Flores who has relocated out of state.

Chenoweth has been active with the chamber since joining PBMares in 2013. He served as the treasurer for the executive committee from 2013-17, graduated from the Lead Peninsula program in 2016 and presents on numerous accounting topics for chamber audiences.

“Dan is actively engaged in all issues involving the chamber and will bring a heightened energy to the Chamber Board,” said Chamber President/CEO Mike Kuhns. “We look forward to his leadership as he helps lead the chamber into the future.”

Within PBMares, Chenoweth is a leader involved in tax department initiatives and helps provide advanced planning and consulting for business tax clients. He also works very closely with consolidated corporations, S corporations and clients within the construction and oil and gas industries.

Recently, Chenoweth was one of three individuals who worked together to bring semiprofessional soccer to Hampton Roads. In addition to being a certified public accountant, he also carries a Certificate of Forensic Accounting. Chenoweth received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from West Virginia University.
