Enrique C. Brito recently joined PBMares, LLP as the Managing Director for its Transaction Advisory Services team within the Firm’s Consulting Service Line. In this role, Brito will drive the strategy, growth and innovation of consultative solutions in the areas of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), business strategy, business intelligence, corporate finance, business valuation, due diligence and operational improvement. Brito has more than 25 years of experience advising clients, has an extensive track record in leading M&A transactions for middle market clients and has raised more than one billion dollars in equity and debt capital from institutional sources for companies in the U.S., Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina and Peru.

“In today’s professional services environment, you need to be intimately familiar with your clients and prospects financial habits, goals and objectives so you know what solutions to bring to them,” said Keith Wampler, CPA, Partner at PBMares. “Enrique’s background and experience has prepared him to form these strong relationships to fully understand their needs and provide value-added solutions to help them reach their goals.”

Brito began his investment banking career in Washington, D.C. He was Director of Corporate Finance for an aerospace and defense company where he participated in M&A transactions and operation improvement projects involving technology companies in the U.S. and abroad. Later, he was a partner and Senior Managing Director at a national investment bank where he led the healthcare practice and co-founded an investment advisory firm. His interest in providing clients with solutions focused on value-building strategies rather than just executing M&A transactions led him to his next role as partner and Practice Leader of Corporate Advisory Services at an executive advisory firm. Subsequently, he started his own consulting firm, where he continued to advise middle-market clients on business strategy and M&A, two of his top specialties.

Brito holds professional credentials as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and Certified M&A Advisor (CM&AA). He currently is a member of the CFA Institute, CFA Society of Virginia, National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA), and serves on the board for the Association for Corporate Growth and Optimal Answers, Inc. He has received the Instructor of Great and Exceptional Distinction for the past 15 years and was named Titan of Industry by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts. Enrique received his Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Florida in Gainesville and a Master of Business Administration degree from American University in Washington, D.C.
