Acquisition Expands Firm Operating Footprint in North Carolina to Three Locations
Newport News, VA (12/08/2022) – PBMares, LLP, a Top 100 accounting and consulting firm, is expanding its footprint in North Carolina with the acquisition of the Wilmington, N.C., office of RSM US LLP (RSM). As of Dec. 2, 2022, PBMares acquired substantially all the assets of RSM’s Wilmington location, and the Wilmington team is now serving clients as PBMares.
PBMares CPAs and Consultants is headquartered in Newport News, VA, with offices across Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina. The addition continues PBMares’ expansion into North Carolina which began in 2020 with the acquisition of RSM offices in Morehead City and New Bern.

As a result of the acquisition, five members of the Wilmington team are elevated to Partner at PBMares. They are Rob Wagner, Jeremy Roberts, Robert Parker III, Charles Craft, and A.A. Rickey Godwin.
The former RSM team will continue operations at its office, rebranded as PBMares, at 300 N. 3rd St. 5th floor, in Wilmington. The RSM US Alliance is a premier affiliation of independent accounting, consulting and professional services firms.
