PBMares Names Tracey Powell as Partner

PBMares has elected Tracey Powell as Partner, effective January 1, 2021.

“I am pleased for Tracey on her accomplishments of achieving Partner at the Firm,” said Harvey L. Johnson, Partner, and CEO of PBMares. “She is steadfast in her commitment to serving clients and I am excited for the growth potential of the Firm with Tracey as our newest partner.

Powell has 32 years of experience in public accounting and has been with PBMares since 2019.  Her focus has been advising clients on ever-changing tax regulations and how they can navigate these financial complexities to improve and grow their businesses. She pulls on her years of tax compliance and consulting experience, including partnership taxation, to advise and guide clients with private-equity real estate transactions, real estate investment trust (REIT) structuring and taxation, partnership restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, forecasting, and succession planning.

Powell is a board secretary and finance committee member of Baltimore Outreach Services, a member of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s Planned Giving Council, and a board member for Off-The-Grid Missions. She is a double graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, having received Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Science in Taxation degrees. She is a member of the AICPA, MACPA, Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA), and Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP).

She is based in the Baltimore area and works in the Firm’s Rockville office.
