Public accounting and the ever-changing world of tax regulations is challenging work. Fortunately, Tracey Powell enjoys the challenge, in addition to the diversity of the clients she works with and meeting new people who want to grow. It’s why she’s stayed in the public accounting industry for 32 years. She believes that creating value for her clients (which comes in all shapes and forms) is one of the best services she can provide.
As a partner in PBMares’ Tax Services Practice, Tracey stays abreast of the constantly evolving tax code to help clients navigate the financial complexities of their businesses to better understand – and leverage – their efforts to find cost savings and potential areas for improvement and growth.
She pulls on her years of tax compliance and consulting experience, including partnership taxation and services for high net worth individuals, to help clients with private-equity real estate transactions, real estate investment trust (REIT) structuring and taxation, partnership restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, forecasting and succession planning.
Tracey’s commitment to helping people doesn’t stop at the office, as she frequently lends her financial expertise to support the greater community. Her current involvement includes board secretary and finance committee member of Baltimore Outreach Services, a member of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s Planned Giving Council and a board member for Off-The-Grid Missions. Her prior service includes past board member for the Richmond Animal League, former treasurer for the School of the Incarnation Home School Association, former finance committee member for St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and a former accounting volunteer for St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
