PBMares, LLP was honored recently as a Good Corporate Neighbor by VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads at their Corporate VOLUNTEER Excellence award ceremony held earlier this month. Recognition was given to companies with workplace programs that strengthen the community and the workforce. The Top 100 accounting firm, which serves clients nationally and internationally from offices in the Mid-Atlantic, received one of three small business awards for their firm wide volunteer program, PBMares Cares Day.
PBMares Cares Day allows for employees across all our offices to get together and help improve their respective communities through a devoted cause while making a lasting impression on thousands. In 2017, PBMares employees in the Hampton Roads region alone volunteered 180 hours toward hunger relief efforts. PBMares Cares Day is just one initiative the firm takes to help build strong, supportive communities.
“We encourage employees to volunteer with organizations and causes in ways that are and personally meaningful for them all year through,” said Mary Aldrich, COO of PBMares , LLP. “The affect is powerful when PBMares volunteers roll up their sleeves, allowing them to make a positive difference in the communities in which they live and work.”
VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads’ mission is to connect businesses with opportunities and create a positive impact on our community, to equip nonprofits with the resources they need to achieve their mission and to mobilize a community of volunteers to create change.
