Joe Garatti (Williamsburg office, tax service)
Garatti has been with the Firm for one year. He helps with tax returns and tax planning for small to mid-sized multi-state corporations, partnerships and s-corporations, high-wealth individuals and not-for-profits. He earned his masters in accounting from Old Dominion University and his bachelors in accounting from the University of Miami.

Jennifer Sciandra, CPA (assurance service)
Sciandra joined the Firm in 2015 and focuses on performing audits and other assurance services for collectively bargained employee benefit plans. She graduated from Misericordia University with a bachelor of science in accounting and a masters in business administration with a concentration in accounting.

Kevin Whitley (Fairfax office, assurance service)
Whitley joined the Firm in 2015 and focuses on performing audits and other assurance services for not-for-profits and for-profit companies as well as employee benefit plans. He graduated from George Mason University with a bachelor in arts in mathematics and from American University with a master of science in accounting.

Marilyn Kitchens, CPA (Fredericksburg office, Healthcare service)
Kitchens is the Professional and technical service team leader and helps healthcare clients formulate strategic tax plans. She graduated from Strayer University with a bachelor of science in accounting.

Stephen Smark, CPA (Newport News office, assurance service)
Smark joined PBMares in 2011 and performs audits and other assurance services for construction, not-for-profit organizations and employee benefit plan clients. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor of science in business with a concentration in accounting and information systems and a master of accounting and information systems with an auditing focus.

Cody Camblin (Richmond office, tax service)
Camblin joined PBMares in 2014 and works with business owners, CFO’s, individuals, and Estates and Trusts providing comprehensive tax planning strategies to grow and preserve their wealth. He graduated from Mary Washington College with a bachelors in Economics and received his MBA from Old Dominion University.

Brian Day (Newport News office, tax service)
Day joined PBMares in 2017 and focuses on business entity and individual tax compliance as well as tax planning services for both individuals and businesses. He earned his bachelor of science in accounting and his masters in business administration from Molloy College.

Tyler Farnsworth, CPA (Harrisonburg office, assurance service)
Farnsworth joined PBMares in 2014 and works on audit teams for various government audit engagements including authorities, boards and commissions. He graduated from Virginia Tech with his bachelor of science in business and his master in accounting and information systems.

Andrea Nichols, CPA (Harrisonburg office, assurance service)
Nichols joined PBMares in 2005 and has extensive experience planning and performing audits subject to the provisions of OMB Uniform Guidance Single Audit of States, Local Governments and not-for-profit organizations. She graduated from Bridgewater College with a bachelors in business administration with an accounting concentration and earned her masters of accountancy in governmental accounting from Rutgers University.

Jonathan Mason, CPA (Harrisonburg office, tax service)
Mason joined PBMares in 2014 and performs various tax and consulting services for closely held businesses and individuals. He earned his bachelor of business administration from Bridgewater College and his master of science in accounting from James Madison University.

Tanya Kozo (Harrisonburg office, Consulting Pathways service)
Kozo joined PBMares in 2016 and provides outsourced accounting services to a variety of businesses and organizations. She earned her bachelor of science in business administration and management from Bridgewater College.

Alex Crawford, CFP (Williamsburg office, Wealth Management service)
Crawford is a certified financial planner and works in the Firm’s wealth management division. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor of science in financial planning. He also carries a Life Health and Annuities license, allowing him to represent an insurer with life insurance and annuity contracts.

To manager of Human Resources:

Heather Ceres, PHR, SHRM-SCP (Fredericksburg office, Human Resources)
Ceres has been with the Firm for years and handles employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, and compensation. She earned her bachelor of science in psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University.
