TITLE: Partner, Retirement Plan Services
LOCATION: Norfolk

It is not uncommon for professionals to try many things before landing where they belong. Stacie’s road to retirement plan services partner at PBMares included providing assurance services to real estate, professional services and manufacturing companies, auditing employee benefit plans, serving as the vice president of finance and administration for a not-for-profit organization, and being a senior financial manager for an international-publicly traded company. Each of these roles gave her knowledge and a unique perspective that she uses to design retirement plans that meet or exceed her clients’ business goals.

A self-proclaimed “problem solver” with nearly 25 years of experience, Stacie is one of the best at continuously looking for ways to improve a process. She champions quality and compliance standards and is not afraid to embrace change – and help her clients do so as well. Her clients appreciate her exceptional financial analysis skills and trust her advice when creating or modifying their retirement plans, since they know she always has their best interests at heart.

Stacie comes by her love of accounting naturally; her mother is also a CPA. Once she took her first accounting class in high school, she was hooked. She was recognized for her contributions to the profession in 2013 when she was named a “Super CPA” by Virginia Business magazine. When not donning her cape, she is involved in her local community and serves as a school board member and finance committee chair for Catholic High School in Virginia Beach.
