Tracey Dail is a problem solver who has always loved working with numbers. Her first career was as a high school math teacher where her passion for helping her students – and later clients and coworkers – led her to pursue a master’s degree in accounting. She earned that degree, while also teaching college-level math, at East Carolina University.
Tracey has a penchant for employee benefit plan audits, specifically in the governmental, nonprofit and hospital space. With nearly 19 years of experience, her benefit plan audits have included profit sharing/401(k), health and welfare, and defined benefit plans.
She recently has managed audits for several different medical centers and has performed others in accordance with Government Auditing Standards, including several large ones of employee benefit plans with more than 6,000 participants and more than $1 billion in plan assets.
Supporting the community beyond client work also is important for Tracey and her family. She actively participates with the Sudan Shriners with her husband and, in addition to being a member of the New Bern and Pamlico Shrinettes, will serve on the latter’s board in 2021. In their downtime, Tracey, her husband and their two teenagers enjoy anything outdoors and warm weather water activities at a beach, river or lake.
