The Firm Ranks #36 in Top 50 List from Construction Executive Magazine
For the second year in a row, PBMares has earned a spot on Construction Executive’s (CE) annual ranking of the most influential firms in construction accounting. The top 50 ranking is based on an independent nationwide survey and measures the depth and breadth of a firm’s expertise and focus on the construction industry.
PBMares earned #36 out of more than 600 participating accounting firms based on the construction group’s percentage of overall firm revenue, the number of Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) in the construction practice, and other factors.

Now in its 23rd year of publication, CE is the leading trade magazine about the business of construction. In its July/August 2025 issue, CE published a comprehensive ranking of The Top 50 Construction Accounting Firms™.
To determine the ranking, CE asked hundreds of U.S. accounting firms with a construction practice to complete a survey. Data collected included: 1) 2023 revenues from construction practice; 2) number of CPAs in construction practice; 3) percentage of firm’s total revenues from construction practice; 4) number of construction clients in 2024; 5) number of office locations with a construction accounting practice; 6) number of employees with CCIFP certification; and 7) year construction accounting practice established.
